I have been in the IEP/504 world for over 10 years. I know all the ends and outs of the meeting, laws, implementation of goals, data taking and so much more. I have been a teacher for 6 years, 4 of those being in a behavioral special education classroom. I have sat in an IEP/504 meeting as a parent, teacher and advocate. Parents should never feel lost, overwhelmed or confused when it comes to their child's education. I am here to help provide support, understanding and walk this journey with you. I hold multiple teaching certifications as well as hundreds of professional development hours. I received my degree from McNeese State University and hold a dual teaching certification which includes mild/moderate special education.
I will look over the last three years of your child's educational records and give you a detailed review of my opinions on what needs to be done for you child.
I will help you prep for your child's IEP meeting. I would not attend with you but ensure you are prepared for the meeting.
This includes a full records review, communication with the school district on your behalf, attendance to all IEP/504 meetings and any other services you may need.
Do you need help navigating the IEP process?
